Chilling graphic shows US gun death toll in the week since Sandy Hook
Slate and the anonymously run Twitter account @GunDeaths have collaborated to produce one of the most haunting infographics we've ever seen: the number of gun deaths in the United States in the week since the Newtown shooting. Not counting those 27 victims and shooter Adam Lanza, 98 people have been killed by guns in the past seven days, though that total on the infographic doesn't include the most recent deaths. On Friday, while the National Rifle Association was holding its first post-Sandy Hook press conference, a man in Pennsylvania walked down a rural road, shooting people seemingly at random. Four people, including the gunman, have been reported dead, while another five — including three state troopers — were injured. [Source]
