UGA Player London Seymour Arrested on Multiple Felony Property Damage Charges
ATHENS, Ga. — University of Georgia freshman defensive lineman London Seymour was arrested Jan. 29 on 11 felony counts of criminal property damage, according to Athens-Clarke County jail records.
Seymour, who played in one game this past season, was booked into the Athens-Clarke County Jail and released the same night after posting bond.
Records show the charges stem from alleged damage to property occurring in early December at UGA’s East Campus Village dormitories. Alongside Seymour, three other men were also charged in connection with the incident.
Seymour’s attorney has said the situation may have stemmed from a viral “TikTok” challenge in which participants kicked doors, causing damage, and that he hopes to have the case resolved through a pretrial diversion program.
A UGA Athletics spokesperson did not immediately provide a comment on the arrest. Seymour, a walk-on from Suwanee, Georgia, is the son of former Georgia standout and Pro Football Hall of Famer Richard Seymour.
Details on possible disciplinary action by the university have not been disclosed.
