Rabun County, Ga. — A cafeteria employee at a local high school has been arrested following an investigation into what authorities described as “concerning allegations.”

Ashleigh Wilson, 26, of Clayton, was taken into custody on Feb. 26 and booked into the Rabun County Detention Center.

Wilson faces charges including aggravated child molestation, child molestation, grooming of a minor, and sexual exploitation of a child, according to the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office.

The arrest followed a request from the Rabun County Board of Education for authorities to investigate allegations involving Wilson, who worked in the cafeteria at Rabun County High School. Officials said the concerns involved alleged inappropriate physical contact and electronic communication with a minor.

Investigators have not released additional details, citing the ongoing nature of the case. Once the investigation is complete, it will be forwarded to the Mountain Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for review and potential prosecution.

The case remains under investigation in Georgia.
