DAVIE, Fla. — A South Florida couple who operated a luxury car dealership were arrested Friday and charged in a scheme that authorities say involved falsified titles, fake repair invoices and stolen vehicle parts in the resale of high-end cars valued at more than $500,000.

Michael Anthony Lucci, 32, and Emily Marie Lucci, 30, owners of Luxury Auto Source in Davie, face 38 criminal counts, including racketeering, organized fraud, perjury and possession of forged titles, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Investigators began examining the business in January after reviewing paperwork submitted to a Miami-Dade tag agency for a 2020 Nissan GT-R. The invoice submitted to support a rebuilt title listed repairs of more than $18,000, but authorities determined actual parts costs were closer to $1,200, according to arrest reports. The GT-R was later advertised for nearly $94,500 — about $40,000 above its prior sale price.

A subsequent review of dealer records uncovered eight other vehicles with rebuilt Florida titles allegedly obtained using altered or fraudulent invoices. Those vehicles included a 2022 Porsche 911, a 2017 Bentley, a 2020 Toyota Supra, a 2018 BMW M3, a 2023 Cadillac Escalade and a 2022 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, officials said. The Dodge reportedly contained multiple vehicle identification numbers and an engine traced to a stolen car.

All nine vehicles were deemed contraband and seized, according to FHP. Buyers who purchased affected cars have been warned they could lose both the vehicles and their money.

Michael Lucci was taken into custody during a search of the dealership, and Emily Lucci later surrendered to authorities, jail records show. Both were released after posting $30,000 bonds. No attorneys were listed in court records.
