ATLANTA — Atlanta police are asking the public for help locating a man wanted in connection with multiple sexual assault investigations across the city, authorities said Friday.

Investigators have identified 31-year-old Kwame Shabazz as a suspect in at least two separate sexual assault cases and other crimes, the Atlanta Police Department said. Officials described Shabazz as a “dangerous person on the streets of Atlanta.”

Police say Shabazz entered an apartment complex on the 700 block of Cosmopolitan Drive NE on Jan. 22 and forced his way into a woman’s unit while she was taking out the trash, sexually assaulting her, according to authorities. The victim called 911 immediately and has since been cooperating with investigators.

The following day, authorities allege Shabazz exposed himself to a woman on the 2200 block of Piedmont Road. Investigators also linked him to a late-October e-bike theft.

Shabazz is wanted on a College Park rape warrant and a probation violation in Fulton County. In Atlanta, charges include rape, sexual battery, aggravated sexual battery, false imprisonment, hindering an emergency call, burglary and aggravated assault, police said.

Officials describe Shabazz as about 5-feet-11, weighing 208 pounds and believed to be unhoused. A reward of up to $5,000 is offered for information leading to his arrest and indictment. Anyone with tips is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (404) 577-8477.
