NRA speech criticized, mocked by Twitter users
While the National Rifle Association's Wayne LaPierre was talking about good guys with guns and bad guys with guns and blaming video games ("Mortal Kombat"? None of the characters even HAVE guns!) and movies and pretty much everything BUT guns for gun deaths in America, Twitter was exploding into a collective eyeroll. Everyone from Rachel Maddow to Michael Bloomberg has weighed in, and the response has, so far, been a resounding "WTF?!" "I think the NRA press conference is what the Mayans had in mind when they said the world would come to an end today," Mark Cuban tweeted.
