Tennessee Man Timothy Story placed fake ad for receptionist on Craigslist and raped woman who answered it

A Nashville man has been charged for allegedly raping a woman who responded to his Craigslist ad for a secretary.

Timothy Story, 38, was arrested after a 45-year-old Madison, Tennessee woman told police she had been raped at Story’s home Wednesday afteoon.

The woman had gone to Story’s home to interview for a receptionist position in response to an ad he posted on Craigslist, police said.

The woman told police she reached in her purse for her resume when Story overpowered and assaulted her, according to The Tennesseean.

Once the woman got away she drove to Skyline Medical Center, where police were called.

Police said Story admitted that he fraudulently placed the Inteet ad for the purpose of luring a woman to his residence.

Story remains jailed on a $425,000 bond and is facing three counts of rape, one count of sexual battery and one count of aggravated kidnapping.

Police are continuing their investigation.
