Sisters Jonie Mae and Mindy Earwood Accused Of Robbing 79-Year-Old
BARTOW COUNTY, Ga. -- A pair of Cartersville sisters are accused of attacking and robbing and a 79-year-old man.
The attack happened in June, but authorities said they recently arrested 29-year-old Mindy Nicole and 26-year-old Jonie Mae Earwood.
On June 4, Arthur Smith was picked up from his home on Euharlee Road and dumped nine miles away, on Alford Road, according to the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said the sisters assaulted and robbed him, leaving him with minor injuries.
The Earwood sisters are charged with kidnapping, robbery and battery to a person over 65 years old. They are at the Bartow County Jail, awaiting a bond hearing.
Bartow County Sheriff Clark Millsap said more arrests in the case are possible. Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff’s office.
