Police: Dekalb Man Vincent Edward Price Arrested In Waiting Room Sexual Assault

DECATUR, Ga. -- A woman told police that she was sexually assaulted in the waiting room of DeKalb Medical Center’s North Decatur campus, authorities said.

Police later arrested Vincent Edward Price on charges of sexual battery shortly after 4 a.m.

The victim said she fell asleep in the waiting room while waiting for a friend who was being treated at the hospital and was woken up when she felt Price touching her private area, police said.

According to a police report, the woman screamed and a sheriff's deputy who was at the hospital ran to help her.

Hospital officials said the woman declined medical treatment for the attack.

The hospital said it is reviewing its security practices to ensure the safety of its patients, visitors and employees.

A check of Price’s criminal record shows he had a lengthy criminal past.

Price was being held at the DeKalb County Jail.
