Police Arrest 2 Deontae Conway, Rodney Lofton In String Of Restaurant Robberies

COBB COUNTY, Ga. -- Police in Cobb County have two men in custody after a string of robberies at fast food restaurants in the Atlanta metro area.

Rodney Lofton, 21, of Marietta, and Deontae Conway, 18, of Dallas, have been arrested in connection to robberies at a Burger King and a Zaxby’s.

The men are also said to be wanted by Smya police for a robbery at a Captain D's restaurant.

Police said they found the men when they spotted them driving a Chevy Suburban that had been reported stolen. When the officer attempted to pull the over the SUV, the driver sped up and fled. Police said the men eventually crashed, then they ran on foot, but officers were able to catch them a short time later.

Lofton and Conway have been charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and burglary.

Both men remain in the Cobb County Jail on no bond.
