Police: 2 Dead From Drug Deal Gone Bad in Floyd County

FLOYD COUNTY, Ga. -- Police said two people were arrested after a double homicide Friday night in Floyd County.

Investigators said the incident occurred on Shorter Industrial Boulevard, next to a UPS distribution center.

Police said Austin Tyler Nix, 24, and Cordaricus Hightower, 22, fatally shot Drew Baes, 24, and Thaddeus Helton Jr., 20.

Officers said they believe the shootings may have sprung from a drug deal gone bad.
