Newnan Youth Coach Jonathan Sholar Faces Sex Charges
A Newnan youth baseball coach is facing some serious charges.
He’s accused of 'sexting' one his 14-year-old students and sending her nude photos of himself.
Coweta County deputies arrested Jonathan Sholar Wednesday night. The 27-year-old is the co-owner and coach at Centerfield Baseball Academy in Newnan.
Authorities say the investigation began months ago, when the 14-year-old girl showed her siblings a nude picture she said Sholar sent to her.
While the alleged victim is now 14, authorities believe she was 13 when the inappropriate messages started.
Sholar bonded out of jail Thursday afteoon.
