Hall County authorities say a jailer wanted on outstanding warrants for credit card fraud has been arrested.

The Hall County Sheriff's Office says Hall County sheriff's jailer Benjamin Thompson, 55, was picked up by Lawrenceville police on Wednesday. The warrants had been issued by authorities in Gwinnett County.

Police say Thompson has been tued over to Gwinnett County authorities.

The Hall County Sheriff's Office says Thompson, who has been employed by the sheriff's office since August 2007, has resigned from his position.
