A local teacher has resigned after being accused of exposing himself to a female co-worker at a Hall County high school.

Tony Ray Wilson, 47, is accused of assaulting a female teacher in a classroom at Johnson High School during a teacher work day on May 24.  The woman reported the alleged incident to school officials, who in tu notified the school resource officer. An investigation into the report soon followed, investigators say.

Just days later, local authorities issued the arrest warrant for Wilson, a Buford resident. They charged him with public indecency.  He was booked into jail on Wednesday.

The case remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff's Office, School Resources Division.

Hall County Schools say Wilson has been a teacher with their district since August 2007.  School officials said that Wilson resigned from his teaching and coaching position with the district.

The district says it is giving its full cooperation to the Hall County Sheriff's Department during the investigation.
