Gordon Co. man Jonathon Carringer charged in wife's death after calling 911

Deputies responded to a property in rural southwest Gordon County Wednesday night, they met with a male resident of the home who stated he arrived at the motorhome and found his wife, 33-year-old Annie Carringer, dead.

However, after several hours of investigation which lasted into the early moing, the woman's husband Jonathon Carringer, 33, of 275 Trimble Hollow Road was arrested and charged with murder.

”There were very significant items of physical evidence which led us to believe he was responsible for the act, said Chief Deputy Robert Paris, with the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators said they located a number of witnesses who corroborated their theory of what happened, but wouldn’t discuss any of the evidence found.

The investigation is ongoing by both the Gordon County Sheriff's Office and the Gordon County Coroner's Office.
