A former hospital police officer was indicted Tuesday by the grand jury on allegations he fired shots at his ex-wife and another man in May and that he violated his oath of office.

Court papers from the Bibb County Superior Court shows that Carlos Antonio Wilson, 39, of Houston Avenue, is charged with two counts of family violence-related aggravated assault, two counts of aggravated stalking, two counts of aggravated assault, kidnapping, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and violation of oath by a public officer.

Wilson, who worked as a deputy in Bibb County for six years before going to work as an officer at The Medical Center of Central Georgia about seven years ago, is being held at the county jail without bond, according to jail records.

During a June bond hearing, a prosecutor said Wilson fired shots at his ex-wife and another man at about 1 a.m. May 12 as they drove on Napier Avenue. Then, he rammed their car with his, causing both to wreck.

The prosecutor went on to say that Wilson grabbed the woman at gunpoint, but later ran away when police arrived.
