Councilman Spencer Seay Arrested On Marijuana Charges

A Monroe city councilman was arrested after police said they found a bag of marijuana in his possession.

Councilman Spencer Seay, 32, was taken into custody Tuesday night.Police said they spotted Seay while investigating a suspicious person call at about 11 p.m. Investigators said an officer smelled marijuana while talking to Seay and noticed a bag of suspected marijuana. Police said there was no connection between Seay and the initial call. Seay was booked at the Walton County Jail and charged with possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.
