Cops: Walmart Customer Wesley Strellis Smashes 29 TVs

A man smashed 29 televisions at a Walmart on Lawrenceville Highway, police said.

At about 12:15 p.m., police said a man grabbed a metal baseball bat in the sporting goods section and then walked to the electronics department where he destroyed 29 flat screen television that were on display.

Officers arrested Wesley Strellis of Lawrenceville a few minutes later without incident.

The televisions were reported to be valued at over $22,000.

The reasons for Strellis actions remain under investigation at this time. The incident was caught on store surveillance video and no injuries have been reported. Strellis has been charged with 29 counts of criminal damage to property in the second degree and transported to the Gwinnett County Jail.
