Cell Phone Saves Club Valet From Bullet
Desmond (L)and Timothy Wright (R) were taken into custody early Thursday, January 6, for discharging a firearm near Club Halo.

ATLANTA - One man is lucky to be alive after a stray bullet struck his jacket, then his cell phone early Thursday.

Atlanta police say two men who are brothers -- identified as Desmond and Timothy Wright -- were kicked out of Club Halo which is located on West Peachtree Street Northwest. They came back an hour later trying to reenter the club and were refused entry.

The two men then went down the street and fired a couple of rounds. One of those bullets struck the man -- a valet at the club -- and went through his jacket, then deflected off his cell phone. He was not injured.

A witness gave police a description of the two men and a location. Desmond and Timothy Wright were soon taken into custody.

The valet hit by the stray bullet has not been identified.
