Cab driver Jack Rainey shot and killed in East Point

A cab driver was shot and killed in East Point Sunday, police say.

Jack Rainey, 49, was an employee of Day & Night cab company.

Dispatchers there say Rainey, the father of three children, called to report being shot at 4 a.m. Police searched for the cab for hours before it was located on Hogan Road at about 11 a.m.

Police said the cab, with Rainey's body inside, was found at the entrance to Oak Knoll Elementary School.
