5K race raises funds, awareness for Atlanta's homeless

Thousands of racers tued out in the bitter moing cold on Saturday to lend their support for a good cause. The Atlanta Mission's annual 5K race took place as scheduled despite the blistery conditions. About 3,000 people braved the wind and cold to raise awareness and funds for the city's homeless population.

Saturday's goal was to raise $75,000. Organizers say they were a little shy of their mark. To help them reach their goal head to atlantamission.org.
