Two more charged in death of McDuffie County man

THOMSON, Ga. - Two more suspects have been charged in the slaying of a 24-year-old Thomson man.

Georgia Bureau of Investigation agent Michael Ayers said Wednesday that 19-year-old Calvin Curtis and 17-year-old Jatheus Bennett have been charged in the weekend shooting of Kenneth James Johnson.

McDuffie County Sheriff Logan Marshall said a third man, 21-year-old Dexter Jones, has also been charged in Johnson's killing.

The three are accused of shooting to death Johnson, who was shot near his home Sunday night. He died early Monday at the Medical College of Georgia Hospital in Augusta.
