Douglasville Police have arrested a mom and her girlfriend for putting a 6-year-old boy in a dog cage for hours.

According to reports, the women were attempting to discipline the child by pouring syrup and cat litter on the child's hands and feet.

The child, reportedly, has an aversion to sticky things. They also forced the child to hold a brick over his head for a number of minutes, as punishment.

The women, 24-year-old Crystal Jean Hostetter and 30-year-old Sarah Elizabeth McClain have been charged with cruelty to children and reckless conduct.
