UGA student Mikal Ghirmazghi found dead in dorm room
Police are investigating the death of a 21-year-old University of Georgia student Thursday.
Mikal Ghirmazghi was found dead in her dorm room in Russell Hall.
Police say they were called to the dorm room for medical assistance. Officers and EMS arrived and began first aid, but believe Ghirmazghi was already dead.
Police say there is no obvious cause of death, nor were there any signs of foul play.
Several students gathered at the dorm and held a candlelight vigil for Ghirmazghi.
Friends of ”Miki" expressed how they felt.
”She was young just like me, it is just a terrible thing, said student Michael Sandler.
Friends say Ghirmazghi worked as resident assistant at the dorm.
