The Roswell Fire Department rescued two men stuck on the Chattahoochee River on Thursday afteoon.

Officials say the two, who are both in their 20s, started a rafting trip around 2 p.m. in the Johns Creek area. They were missing for 11 hours.

They had a limited amount of water with them, but still managed to make it to Roswell. They found themselves in trouble, though, when the sun went down.

Crews rescued the men after they couldn't find their landing spot in the dark.   They say the two weren't carrying enough supplies to handle the heat and the sun.

Officials say the two were treated for dehydration, and one was taken to North Fulton Regional Hospital.  The man who was transported is expected to make a full recovery.
