Two people were seriously injured Saturday afteoon in a collision between a car and a train on Georgia 81 in Covington.
Police say the driver of a Honda Pilot tried to go around the crossing arms which were down. The train hit the car, pushing it 50 yards down the track. The impact blew out all the windows and flipped the car onto its roof.
The two people inside the car were airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.
