A local high school teacher is accused of stealing money raised to send teenagers on a cheerleading trip to Florida.

Police say Charles Drew High School teacher Kenisha Washington stole $30,000 that was collected by the parents of the cheerleaders. The team planned to use the money for a trip to a competition in Panama City.

Her attoey said Washington admitted to the crime and says she regrets her actions.
