Taylor County Commissioner Jerry Albritton, Charged With Child Molestation

BUTLER, Ga. - A commissioner in Taylor County has been arrested on child molestation charges.

Jerry Albritton was arrested Wednesday night and charged with three counts of molestation. Georgia Bureau of Investigation Agent Scott Dutton would not describe the allegations in detail to WMAZ-TV.

Albritton was released on bond from the Taylor County jail. He was not at his govement job Thursday and did not immediately retu a message seeking comment. It was unclear whether he had a defense attoey.

Albritton has served on the board of commissioners since 2001.
