Authorities say the situation started when the received a call from a woman around 5:30 pm Sunday involving her boyfriend. Police say the woman and her live-in boyfriend had some kind of altercation.

When officers showed up at the complex, the boyfriend was not there. The officers then departed.

Police say the woman was not in the apartment and is safe.

Around 6 a.m. SWAT walked into the apartment and found that the boyfriend was not in the apartment. Police believe the man jumped out of a third story window of the apartment before they arrived. Police believe the man barricaded himself in teh apartment.

Police identified the man as 37-year old Eest Dennis. Police believe Dennis is not armed but is considered dangerous.

Police describe Dennis as a black male and was last seen wearing a t-shirt and lime green pants. They say Dennis may have been injured in the fall.
