A store clerk is dead following a shooting at a BP gas station on Cedar Grove Road in DeKalb County late Monday night.

An employee told police he was stocking the cooler when the shooting happened.

Authorities say the 39-year-old clerk was found with a wound to the chest. He was transported to Grady Memorial Hosiptal where he was later pronounced dead.

Police say the incident appears to be an armed robbery.

Authorities say two suspects fled on foot.
