CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. -- A search is under way for a woman who was kidnapped after her car broke down on Interstate 575, said a representative for the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.

Lisa Bode, 44, of Ball Ground, called 911 at 2 p.m. Monday. She told dispatchers that she was put in the truck of a gold-colored car by a white man. The man then drove her south on Interstate 575, Bode said.

Bode’s black Ford Explorer was located on Interstate 575 southbound, authorities said.

If you have information on Bode’s whereabouts, call the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office at 770-928-0239.
