Savannah police investigate 2 found dead in Condemned House
SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Savannah police are investigating the deaths of two men whose bodies were found inside a condemned home.
Savannah-Chatham County police spokeswoman Gena Moore said Monday investigators are treating the deaths as homicides, but she declined to give any details of how the men were killed.
Moore said neighbors called police Sunday afteoon to report possible squatters in the condemned home. Officers responding to the call found the two men dead inside.
Moore says police believe one of the dead men, identified as 50-year-old David Weitnauer, used to rent the house. The other body was identified as 33-year-old Shawn Dale Morris.
The bodies were found in Windsor Forest, a neighborhood in Savannah's suburban southside. No arrests have been made.
