Results of Georgia's Presidential Preference Primaries

Georgia held it's Presidential Preference Primaries on Tuesday. Both Democrats and Republicans took to the polls to decide on the 178 delegates (76 Republican, 102 Democrat) up for grabs between the two parties.

The delegates in the Democratic Primary are given out proportionally to the votes cast while the Republican Primary rules are a bit unique. If a Republican candidate reaches over 50 percent, the entire state goes to that candidate. If no one candidate reaches that threshold, all the candidates between 20 and 50 percent will be awarded delegates proportionally.

Here is a look at the current results:

REPUBLICAN

76 delegates -- 99% of precincts reporting

• 38.8% - Donald J. Trump - 36 Delegates
• 24.5% - Marco Rubio - 11 Delegates
• 23.6% - Ted Cruz - 14 Delegates
• 6.2% - Ben Carson - 0 Delegates
• 5.6% - John R. Kasich - 0 Delegates

Suspended campaigns: Bush, Christie, Fiorina, Graham, Huckabee, Pataki, Paul, Santorum

DEMOCRAT

102 delegates -- 99% of precincts reporting

• 71.2% - Hillary Clinton - 66 Delegates
• 28.3% - Beie Sanders - 23 Delegates

Suspended campaigns: O'Malley

Super Tuesday has 1460 delegates (595 Republican, 865 Democrat) up for grabs in 12 different states and one U.S. territory.
