A rally was held in midtown Monday night for the man known as "The Phantom of the Fox."
Joe Patten, 84, built his apartment inside the Fox in the 70s, when he was the theatre's technical director.
The Fox board has voted to terminate Patten's lifetime lease.
He was offered a new occupancy agreement.
Patten has until September 15th to sign the agreement, or be evicted.
Supporters of Patten gathered outside the Fox Theatre from 5 to 7 p.m.
