Police: Women Steal 95-Year-Old’s Credit Cards

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. -- Two women are accused of stealing an elderly woman’s credit cards and using them across metro Atlanta.

The victim is a 95-year-old Lawrenceville woman, Gwinnett County police Cpl. Jake Smith said. He said the suspects stole the cards from the woman’s apartment at the Delmar Gardens assisted living home.

The women used the credit cards at several retail stores across metro Atlanta, Smith said. Surveillance video showed them leaving stores, one with a shopping bag in hand.

The women racked up more than $4,500 worth of merchandise using the victim’s cards, Smith said. He said the incidents happened between Dec. 20 and Dec. 22.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Gwinnett police at at 770-513-5300.
