Police search for missing 12-year-old Norcross girl Melanie Lopez

Norcross police are asking the public's help in finding a missing 12-year-old girl.

Investigators said Melanie Yazmin Lopez never got on her bus from Summerour Middle School.

Lopez is described as Hispanic and 5 feet tall and weighs about 115 pounds.

She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a navy blue polo shirt and black shoes and was carrying a lime green backpack.

Anyone with information on Lopez's whereabouts is asked to call Norcross police at 770-448-2111
