Police have identified a woman they say was killed in a Buckhead apartment on Wednesday. Investigators said 33-year-old Zaquavia Kingsberry was the woman who was shot several times in the head inside the apartment, and her death is still under investigation.

Police say Kingsberry’s body was found in the fourth-floor apartment at the Gramercy complex on Roswell Road. She had been shot several times in the head, and investigators say a man police called Kingsberry's boyfriend was the last person to see her alive. The man told officers he left the home after the two had breakfast together on Wednesday, and when he retued he found her body.

Officers say there was forced entry into the apartment. They are still reviewing surveillance tapes from the complex in hopes of seeing who was going in and out of the apartment where she died.

Georgia Newsday has leaed that Kingsberry, who was visiting Atlanta from Raleigh, North Carolina, had a past conviction for cocaine trafficking in her history. Investigators are looking into whether that criminal history may have any involvement in her death.

Kingsberry's family said they did not know the man who lived in the apartment where Kingsberry was killed.

Kingsberry was a mother of two. Police say she worked with a ministry in North Carolina that helps homeless women who are getting back on their feet.
