Police in northwest Atlanta are looking for a killer following a deadly weekend shooting, and investigators say it started with an argument over a can of beer.

According to investigators, the shooting happened on Defoors Ferry Road. The shooting victim was identified by family as Lawrence Williams, who was known as Junior. Police say the 48-year-old was walking home when he was confronted by someone in a car who demanded his beer.

The victim’s brother told reporters he heard gunshots and ran outside.

Witnesses gave police a description of the getaway car, which they found in a nearby trailer park, but investigators say there was no sign of the shooter.
