Police: Ex-Principal Andre Williams Sent Lewd Photo To Teen
Andre L. Williams

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. -- The former principal of Crim High School in Atlanta is under arrest in Gwinnett County.

Police said Andre L. Williams sent a text message containing an obscene photo to a teenager and her mother. The teenager was not a student at Crim High School.

Investigators said Williams began dating a man, who was the ex-boyfriend of the teenager's mother. The victims said they had been receiving harassing text messages on their cell phones but didn't know who they were from. The mother finally reported the incident to police when the lewd photo was sent to her 16-year-old daughter.

Police said phone records led them to Williams, who was booked into the Gwinnett County Detention Center Monday on a misdemeanor charge of disseminating indecent material to a minor.

Police told GA Daily News reporter Manuel Bojorquez that it appears this all stems from a spat between the adults.

An Atlanta Public Schools spokesperson confirmed Williams is no longer an employee there but did not comment on the charge.
