Police Arrest Suspect Stephen Bradley Tatis, in Atlanta Hotel Slaying
ATLANTA - A man wanted in a recent drug-related murder at an Atlanta hotel was arrested after breaking both his ankles in a jump from a second-story window.
Atlanta Police spokesman Carlos Campos says Tuesday 29-year-old Stephen Bradley Tatis broke his ankles after he jumped from an apartment window as a fugitive squad closed in on him.
Authorities say Tatis will be charged with the Nov. 10 murder of Stephen B. Pierce. Witnesses said Pierce and Tatis exchanged gunfire in the parking lot of a hotel in Atlanta's posh Buckhead district.
Tatis is recovering at Grady Memorial Hospital.
