The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said they have arrested the husband of the woman found shot to death in an Ingles grocery store parking lot.

According to the arrest warrant, 50-year-old Darrin Russell is facing murder charges in connection with the shooting death of his 51-year-old wife Dorothy Russell.

Authorities say the incident happened on Friday just before 5:00pm in Aubu, Georgia. Officers from the Aubu Police Department were responding to a 911 call of shots fired. When they arrived, they found the victim had been shot while in her vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her husband was seen leaving the area after the shooting. He was later arrested without incident by Barrow County Sheriff's Deputies.
