Police are looking for two suspects in the shooting.

Morehouse College police have confirmed an arrest in Friday night's campus shooting that left a Morehouse student injured.

Georgia Newsday has leaed that 22-year-old Amir Obafemi was arrested Saturday afteoon and booked into the Fulton County jail. Police said he is a student at Clark Atlanta University.

On Friday night, police suspected another person was involved in the incident in addition to Obafemi. Georgia Newsday went to Samuel Archer Hall, where crime scene tape surrounded the area.

"We think it's totally irresponsible to have a weapon on a college campus, let alone discharge it. That's why we're pursuing the perps right now," Morehouse Police Chief Veon Worthy said in a news conference around 7:45 p.m.

He said the shooting stemmed from an argument outside after a pick-up basketball game at the gym. He said the shooter brandished a weapon, and the victim made it just inside the building before he was shot in the forearm.

The victim, later identified as Coileus Savage, was taken to Grady Hospital, and is conscious and alert, according to Atlanta police.

About four shots rang out, but police do not believe anyone else was hit.

Worthy said about 20 people were in the area at the time, and some snapped photos, which are now being reviewed.

"Some of the witnesses had the phones, the cameras, and we were able to get some very good photographic evidence, Worthy said. ”We believe we'll have a conclusion to this episode, hopefully, by the end of this night.

Obafemi has since been charged with felony aggravated assault and carrying a concealed weapon. He was booked on $2,000 bond.
