Model goes sleeveless for first time since losing her hand
Lauren Scruggs

Fashion model/blogger Lauren Scruggs was out in public Monday, and for the first time since her horrible plane accident four months ago revealed the stump that was once her left hand.

The 23-year-old previously covered the missing limb with long sleeves. Scruggs was seen near her home in Texas, smiling and shopping with her parents.

On Dec. 3, Scruggs, in the dark of night, walked into a propeller after climbing out of a small passenger plane.

She also lost an eye in the accident. Reportedly, a book deal is imminent and a settlement has been reached with the plane's insurance company.
