Missing Griffin man Devontavius McClain found dead in trunk in SW Atlanta

The man found in the trunk of a car an abandoned apartment complex on Brooks Avenue on Friday has been identified.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office says Devontavius McClain, 19, of Griffin, was found dead inside the trunk of his silver Chevy Impala on Friday afteoon.

Griffin police have been searching for McClain since April.

Family members tell reporters that they are glad to have closure, despite the outcome and want to extend their thanks to those who help search for him.

The cause of death has not yet been determined.
