Marietta Police Seek Bank Robbery Suspect John McCrary
Marietta Police arrested one suspect Tuesday but still seek another in the robbery of the BB&T bank on Sandy Plains Road.
The suspects were spotted off in a wooded area off of Baes Mill Road and Merritt Road just before noon on Tuesday.
Officer David Baldwin of the Marietta Police Department said detectives conducted a manhunt in the woods, but the trail ran cold.
Police later arrested 24-year-old Megan Hanney. She is charged with armed robbery. John McCrary, 33, remains on the run.
Authorities say McCrary robbed the bank on Halloween while dressed as a woman, adoed with a wig, dress and boots.
"We don't know what his intentions are. Our conce is really to get hiim off the streets," said Baldwin.
Marietta police said McCrary was seen on Tuesday wearing a dark navy sweater with a dark and light colored top.
Anyone who sees McCrary is urged to call police. He is considered to be armed and dangerous.
