Man Shot Picking Up Paper; Co-Worker Carol Marie Clark Arrested

Police have arrested a co-worker for shooting a man she hardly knew.

Gwinnett County officials said 46-year-old Carol Marie Clark is facing felony assault and gun charges after shooting her co-worker Tuesday.

Authorities said she shot 44-year-old Paul Kodrowski outside his Lawrenceville home at 1050 Rafington Drive when he went outside to pick up the paper.

The suspect was identified based on a vehicle description of a car leaving the scene from an adjacent neighborhood.

Gwinnett police said Kodrowski and the suspect had a relationship that was "virtually non-existent." The victim had seen the suspect approximately 3 times over the past 8 years, according to officials.

Clark is being held at the Gwinnett County Detention Center without bond and has been charged with one felony count of Aggravated Assault and one felony count of Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Crime.

Kodrowski is still being treated at Gwinnett Medical Center for his injury. Neighbors tell Georgia Newsday Kodrowski was shot in the neck area. He is expected to recover.
