Man Shot, KIlled in Southwest Atlanta

ATLANTA - Police canvassed a southwest Atlanta neighborhood but found little evidence to help them solve a deadly shooting.

Neighbors on Empire Boulevard reported gunshots just after midnight on Tuesday. Detectives said they arrived and found a man dead in a front yard.

"It’s a male victim, approximately 40 years old who appears to be shot at least one time in the chest," said Atlanta police Lt. Paul Guerrucci. "We have not established a motive or identified a witness to the shooting."

Officers walked up and down Empire Boulevard with flashlights, according to Channel 2’s Darryn Moore.

"We are trying to establish the time line to see if they correlate to the time when the shots were reported to the time the body was found," said Guerrucci.
