Gwinnett County authorities are asking the public for help identifying a man who robbed a bank wearing a Spiderman mask.

The robbery occured on Nov. 16th shortly after 1 p.m. police say a man walked into the Fidelity Bank at 4591 Peachthree Industrial Blvd. He is seen on camera wearing a Spider-man mask and holding what appeared to be a detonator in his hand. He also had something wrapped around his stomach that bank employees believed was a bomb.

Witnesses say he yelled "Everybody hand up," and asked employees to bag large bills in bags he provided.

Police say he then led the employees into another area in the bank before leaving out a back door. Surveillance video caught the suspect running away from the bank on South Berkely Lake Road, away from Peachtree Industrial Boulevard.

He escaped with an undisclosed amount of money.

  • Average build to heavy
  • Dark green jacket
  • Black Pants
  • Spiderman mask
  • Khaki bucket hat

Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact the robbery unit at (770) 513-5300. Crime Stoppers tipsters can receive up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
