CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. - Clayton County police say one man is dead after being struck by at least one vehicle in Clayton County early Tuesday moing.

Police say the incident happened on Tara Boulevard south of Flint River Road around 5:22 a.m.

Clayton County police say a white male in his mid 50's was walking across the street but not at a crosswalk when he was struck by at least one vehicle.

A black Nissan Maxima is at the scene with front end damage and a broken windshield. Another car, a Ford Mustang was also parked at the scene. Police say other people may have struck the victim, not knowing that they actually ran someone over.

Several lanes on Tara Boulevard remain blocked while police investigate.

The name of the victim has not been released.
