DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -

A DeKalb County neighborhood was shut down for about six hours on Saturday evening as a SWAT team tried to determine what was going on at a home.

The incident started shortly around 4 p.m. Saturday in the 1800 block of S. Deshon Road after officers responded to a dispute call. As they approached the house, they heard a shot being fired. They say the person who phoned them was able to make it out of the house safely.

Just before 10 p.m., the SWAT team was able to make entry into the home. They found one man unharmed and another with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The name of that man has not yet been released.

The incident is still under investigation.
